Our Teams…
It takes a lot of amazing people to make all that we do at United Church happen, and we are so grateful to all our volunteers. In 1 Peter 4:10 we are called to ‘use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in it’s various forms.’ Whether you’re able to make a world-class brew…make someone smile in their darkest moments…or simply want to get involved and learn along the way, one of our teams is the place for you. Take a look below to explore some of what our teams do;
Our Connection team serves on a Sunday morning in a variety of capacities, consisting of refreshments, welcome, car park, building stewards and security teams. Whichever location you’re at, there is a space ready for you. We want everyone to feel at home when they arrive at church, and we would love you to be at the forefront of making sure that happens.
Connection
Making church accessible from the youngest to the oldest is so important and our kids team do an awesome job of making God and faith relevant to all those who aren't at secondary school. We also have a support team to help the lifekids work happen.
Kids
Our worship team exists to serve the church. They are a team that endeavours to facilitate and lead us into passionate, heartfelt praise and worship. Worship is not just what we do at United Church, but an integral part of who we are. Whether on a Sunday, at our United Youth nights, or in a local Prison, our worship team is ready to serve.
Worship
Youth
The team at United Youth are there to connect and show love to young people, along with facilitating all that is happening within the specific programme. The greatest purpose of this team is to be an example to the next generation and to raise disciples of Jesus.
Production
The production team are responsible for everything you see and hear. From our online stream, to the visuals on screen, the team do all they can so people can experience a powerful personal encounter with God within an engaging and distraction-free environment.
The Harbour Centre aims to provide a place of protection for people going through the storms of life where they can be refreshed and re-equipped to continue their journey. Our team of volunteers are at the forefront of this, serving selflessly throughout the week to serve our community.
